NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - A man on a mission to mow lawns -- free of charge -- in all 50 states is stopping in Nashville on Wednesday.

Rodney Smith Jr. got to Tennessee on Tuesday and was looking for veterans, single mothers, and elderly and disabled people who need their lawns mowed.

It's all part of Smith's mission to mow lawns in all 50 states. He also met a helper along the way in Nashville: 9-year-old Ryan, who will accompany him throughout the day.

Smith first completed his trip to all the states in 2017 and is on an even bigger mission in 2018.

He encourages all children to take the 50 Yards Challenge, which consists of kids mowing 50 yards free of charge for the elderly, disabled, single mothers and veterans in their town.
