WASHINGTON (Circa)--The historic meeting between President Trump and North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un has been canceled after President Trump cited North Korea's "tremendous anger and open hostility" toward the United States.
With the cancellation everyone has the same question on their minds..."So what about that commemorative coin?"
The White House Communications Agency issued and released a commemorative "trip coin" for the summit which was supposed to happen Singapore on June 12 .
The freshly minted collectible coin, which featured profile pictures of both leaders, was once priced at $24.95 plus shipping, but is now the "Deal of the Day" for $19.95 on the White House gift shop webpage.
On the White House Gift Shop website, the return policy on the coin states, "Commemorative Medallion Coin. If Summit Does Not Occur You can Request a Refund. Virtually all Customers Have Asked Us to Fulfill This Unique Heirloom of Political History Regardless of Outcome."
Well, as with everything that goes sideways in the world, the users of Twitter are having a field-day mocking the now "un"commemorative coin.

Laugh all you want but in a post-nuclear Los Angeles, commemorative Trump-Kim coins will be the only currency we have.— Gideon Yago (@gideonyago) May 24, 2018
I’ve decided I’m gonna run a triathlon. I haven’t started training, but I’ve already got a commemorative coin designed for when I cross the finish line.— Kumail Nanjiani (@kumailn) May 24, 2018
“Regardless of outcome” don’t ask for your commemorative coin money back because “historical” ➡️Even if no history whatsoever has actually occurred????!!??— WomenForSurvival (@WMN4SRVL) May 24, 2018
