This man learned how to style his wife's hair after a stroke limited her mobility

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — A San Antonio man is going viral for keeping true to his vows to love his wife in sickness and in health.

"She depends on me a little bit more now than she did before so we just have to make it all work and what makes her happy, makes me happy," Andrew said.

In the video posted to Facebook on Sunday by Raigen Kelley, Andrew is seen carefully blow drying his wife Theresa's hair at a New Braunfels salon.

Theresa had a stroke more than 10 years ago and her mobility has progressively gotten worse. Andrew said Theresa did everything for the family for most of their marriage because he traveled a lot for work. He said he wanted to stay true to the vows they made more than 45 years ago and that it was his turn to take care of her now.

"You have to understand. We've been married 45 years going this year," he said. "It works both ways. She took care of me and now I'm taking care of her," he said.

She will still go to the salon every so often, but Andrew said that what he learned that day will help get her by for the days in between.

"It's not going to be as perfect as the salon but hey, as long as she's happy with, makes her feel good, I'm okay with it," Andrew said. "The good comes with the bad. Our vows, when we said our dos years ago. You just have to stay true to those vows and work on them because it's not easy."

Andrew said he hopes their story translates a bigger message: less about hair, more about love.
