Oregon cannabis grower develops royal strain 'Markle Sparkle' in honor of Megan Markle's wedding

KVAL: GRANTS PASS, Ore. - Let's say your aunt is about to marry a real prince.

What would you do?

Meghan Markle's impending nuptials with Prince Harry have inspired a "royal" hybrid strain of cannabis developed by Grants Pass medical marijuana grower Tyler Dooley and his business partners.

Dooley is the son of Markle's half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr.

Dooley calls the Windsor weed "Markle Sparkle," a "potent sativa-dominant hybrid that helps relieve pain, anxiety and insomnia," according to promotional materials from Leafbuyer.com.

Dooley said the plants grows best outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. Why? Well, consider the town motto in Grants Pass, home of the Cavemen: "It's the climate."

“I can’t reveal too much at this point,” Dooley said, “but what I can say is it smells like blueberries and it’s made up of three different strains – Blue City Diesel, Blueberry Northern Lights and a third

secret strain, which you’ll find out on June 2!”

That's when Markle Sparkle will be officially unveiled at the High Times Cannabis Cup Northern California at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, California.

Meanwhile, Leafbuyer.com says Dooley is in London "providing commentary for the royal wedding on the UK morning show Good Morning Britain."
