MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — An officer with the City of Miami Police Department has been relieved of their duties following a viral video showing the officer kicking a suspect in the head.
Today, the City of Miami Police Department received a video of an incident involving one of my officers. The video depicts a clear violation of policy. The officer has been relieved of duty and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office has been contacted.— Miami PD (@MiamiPD) May 3, 2018

In a video posted to Facebook by Lisa Harrell, a person can be seen lying down on the ground, handcuffed by an officer. Another unidentified officer can be seen running into the frame and kicking the suspect in the head.
Harrell wrote on her post that the kick was uncalled for, and the suspect was not resisting officers.
After the kick, the officer jumps on top of the suspect.
Police Chief Jorge R. Colina wrote on Twitter the officer clearly violated policy, and the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office has been contacted.
