TONOPAH, Ariz. (CIRCA) - Three semi trucks crashed Tuesday on a section of eastbound Interstate 10 just west of Tonopah, according to 3TV/CBS 5.
Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Kameron Lee told 3TV/CBS 5 that the vehicles were involved in two separate collisions in the area that morning.
One truck rolled over on eastbound I-10 at milepost 79, with Lee noting the second one was able to come to a complete stop after the initial accident.
Lee added that the third truck then hit the second, killing the driver of the former and injuring the latter's driver when it struck into the first semi afterwards.
The Arizona Department of Transportation is recommending that drivers delay travel or use an alternate route during an ongoing closure of the area, adding that there is no estimated time for when it will reopen.
