Harry Anderson, 'Night Court' star, dies at age 65

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Harry Anderson, the "Night Court" star who made Asheville, N.C. his home, has died at age 65 in his home, Asheville police confirm.

The actor, comedian and magician starred in the 1980s-1990s sitcom "Night Court." When the news of his death was released, Anderson began trending on Twitter on Monday evening.

Anderson made several appearances on "Saturday Night Live."

He relocated to the Asheville area from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Anderson's son tells TMZ the magician died of natural causes. The actor was most well-known for playing the character of Judge Harry T. Stone in the TV series "Night Court."

TMZ reports the actor also appeared on "Cheers" and even starred in his own sitcom called "Dave's World." No foul play is suspected in Anderson's death. Most recently, the actor appeared in shows such as "30 Rock" and "Son of the Beach." Anderson leaves behind a wife and two children.
