Durham, N.C. (WPDE) — A brewery in North Carolina is putting a big spider on top of its burgers -- on purpose.
Bull City Burger and Brewery in Durham is hosting a "Tarantula Challenge" as a part of its Exotic Meat Month event.
The burger costs $30 and includes a pasture-raised North Carolina beef-burger, gruyere cheese, an oven-roasted tarantula and spicy chili sauce.
To enter, people have to call and put their name in the Tarantula Challenge Lottery. When a name is drawn that person has 48 hours to call back and schedule a time to enjoy a Tarantula Burger, the restaurant says on Twitter.
According to their website, every April Bull City Burger celebrates exotic meats from around the country and the world.
"Here at Bull City Burger and Brewery, we never met a meat we wouldn't eat, have you? April is your chance to try it all, from alligator to zebra tarantula and everything in between."
