Target fires worker after Tennessee dad, others find white supremacist message in diapers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - Target has fired an employee after a father in Tennessee and others found white supremacist propaganda inside diaper boxes.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, incidents were reported in Washington, D.C.; Florida; and Hixon, Tennessee.

In each case, customers found a laminated card stating, "It's Okay to Be White." On the back of the card were references to white supremacy websites The Right Stuff, The Daily Stormer and the Traditionalist Worker Party.

Target released a statement to local media saying the situation had been handled. "After being made aware of the situation, we immediately launched a thorough investigation to address the concerns and put a stop to it," the ADL reports.

WRCB in Chattanooga spoke with the Tennessee father, who found the card after purchasing a box of newborn diapers. He then reported the incident to Target and Pampers, the brand of diapers he purchased.

WRCB reports Target has asked anyone who finds similar messages to call 1-800-591-3869.
