A plane crashed into a golf course near Scottsdale Airport in Arizona


WASHINGTON (Circa) -- A plane has crashed near Scottsdale Airport, according to ABC 15.

The FAA has confirmed the crash occurred. It is unknown whether there are any injuries. The plane burst into flames as soon as it crashed.

ABC 15 says Scottsdale Police have told them the plane crashed into the TPC Champions golf course. This course is commonly used for PGA Tour events including the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Scottsdale Police and Fire have confirmed they are on the scene of the incident.

Fire officials tell ABC 15 the crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. pacific time.
