Man charged with voyeurism after admitting to hiding camera in stepdaughter's room

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — A man has been arrested, and charged with voyeurism, for placing a hidden camera in their air vent of his 13-year-old stepdaughter’s room.

The man, 48, initially told, the child’s mother that he was not responsible for the camera. However, he later admitted placing the camera when she informed him she would be calling the police.

A small light on the camera had been covered with black electrical tape so that it could not be seen at night.

Police searched the home and found another hidden camera in the child’s smoke detector and one in a USB plug-in charger that was plugged into the socket on the child’s vanity.

The victim is not the only child in the home, but the cameras were found in the bedroom and bathroom for the same child.

The man was charged with voyeurism, which is a state jail felony.
