DALLAS (CIRCA) A large fire has erupted after a crash involving a big rig and four other vehicles early Friday, according to CBS DFW.
CBS DFW on Friday reported that the accident occurred around 5:45 a.m. local time in the eastbound lanes of Interstate-30 that morning.
The crash’s details remain under examination, but it is known that at least one vehicle struck the back of the big rig on the bridge over East Grand Avenue, starting the fire.
The blaze has since been extinguished, but firefighters and other emergency workers are on scene monitoring the situation.
Dallas County Sheriff’s Department officials said that at least two people have been injured – the big rig’s driver and the driver of another vehicle.
The present condition of both victims remains unclear, but both were taken to Baylor Medical Center at Dallas.
