(KUTV) — A woman was arrested on March 31 on suspicion of 130 counts involving sex abuse and one count of lewdness involving a child.
Salt Lake City Police confirmed detectives received a tip about the suspect, identified Avalina F. Florreich, and decided to arrest her after an interview.
Florreich was booked into Salt Lake County jail on 70 counts of sex abuse of a child, 60 counts of sex abuse of a minor and one count of lewdness involving a child.
A probable cause statement was not available from Utah State Courts nor the Salt Lake County Jail. Circa affiliate 2News has submitted a request to Salt Lake City Police for more information about the nature of the charges.
Florreich has retained the law firm of Morgan, Steur, Nish, and Associates to defend her. 2News spoke with lawyer Kent Morgan who said Florreich has posted bail and is awaiting more information about the allegations against her.
