This isn't an April Fool's joke: An 11-foot alligator was found in private swimming pool in Florida

Alligators are social creatures and they often stay in groups called congregations.

But sometimes with all that socializing, alligators just want some "ME" time, so they step away from the congregants--- to take a dip in a private pool.

I guess that's why, deputies from the Sarasota Sheriff's Office received a call about an 11-foot alligator, swimming in a private pool. (Only in Florida! Am I right?!?!?)

According to the SCSO, they got the call about the gator on Friday night, so they went along with a trapper, and rescued the big fella from the pool.

The gator was chilling until the deputy chased it with a trapper. It began swimming away as it struggled to avoid capture.

The deputy eventually was able to drag the gator out of the pool and through a door outside of the swimming pool area.
