It’s downright incredible just how hard Fox News and the GOP want to smear the Parkland teenagers, and equally incredible how it just continues to blow up in their face as proof that society has not gone completely to hell yet. Take for example Laura Ingraham, a Fox News correspondent who for some reason beyond the comprehension of anyone Tweeted out that David Hogg, one of the more public of the Parkland Teens, got "dinged" by UCLA despite his 4.1 GPA. First off — incredibly impressive about David Hogg’s 4.1 GPA, and secondly — what? Why would she Tweet that? That was the question of many watching this all unfold, including Chris Evans who replied to Laura Ingraham, “You must be so sad, angry and scared. David Hogg went to Twitter and posted a list of Laura Ingraham’s advertisers, encouraging his followers to call them to pull their ads from her show. After she lost a good share of followers Ingraham apologized to Hogg, but Hogg said it was not enough and the apology has to be sincere. Here to discuss this are Ryan Mitchell, guest host Iman Crosson, and our special guest, star of CW’s “The 100” - Tasya Teles.
So what does CircaPop Live think of this? Ryan thinks this is kind of crazy — that a conservative website would dedicate itself to attacking children. Ryan says this shows Ingraham’s true character and shows she is trash. Iman says that the issue has to be dealt with sensitively, and the entire issue has to be separated from Hogg’s GPA. Why even do that? Ryan thinks that Laura Ingraham wanted to show that being involved in the gun control debate for students could help and ding their college application — but so many professors showed up in the light of Ingraham’s Tweet to say that this is amazing, which is an important thing to do — to encourage this new generation to take action.
