APACHE, Okla. (KOKH) - A man is recovering from a heart attack he suffered 20 minutes after catching a large rattlesnake in southern Oklahoma.
Dennis Crow, Robert Lutonsky and Steve Booker were at the Wichita Mountains on Saturday, catching rattlesnakes for the Apache Rattlesnake Festival.
Shortly after the three caught multiple snakes -- one of which measured 48 inches long -- Crow had a heart attack.
He was able to make it to a hospital and receive treatment.
Crow is expected to be alright but will need to see a specialist in Oklahoma City.
Now THAT'S a snake! Dennis Crow & Steve Booker caught this huge rattlesnake just before catching an even larger one and just before Dennis suffered a heart attack! Dennis is OK today. Those snakes were caught west of Apache. Thanks to Steve for the pic. More info #liveonOKCFOX pic.twitter.com/U10JTBnGmN
