Ohio babysitter charged with murder following 3-year-old's death

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A Butler County woman was charged with murder Monday following the death of a 3-year-old girl.

A Butler County grand jury indicted 35-year-old Lindsay Partin on charges of murder, four counts of felony endangering children and involuntary manslaughter.

Partin allegedly assaulted Hannah Wesche, a little girl she babysat, leading to her death. Deputies found the girl unconscious in Partin's Hanover Township home March 15, after Partin had called 911 when the child passed out.

She told the dispatcher Hannah had hit her head on the garage floor the day before but seemed OK. Court records indicate she admitted to investigators that she had struck the child, however, she pleaded not guilty. She was released from jail after her bond was posted.

Partin was not rearrested and her bond was not increased. Butler County prosecutor Michael Gmoser says she will be in court soon for a pretrial hearing but no date has been set.

Hannah died March 18.
