WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group)- President Trump on Friday announced he would sign a gigantic $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill after threatening to veto it.
Trump attacked the package's details, however, vowing he would never approve a similar version again and blaming Democrats for the final product.
"As a matter of national security, I've signed this omnibus spending bill," he said during a White House press conference.
"There are a lot of things I am very unhappy about in this bill," Trump continued. "I will never sign another bill like it again. I won't do it again."
"Nobody read it. In this case, it became so big because we need to take care of our military. And the Democrats, who don't believe in that, added things to get their votes."
Trump derided the tremendous cost of the spending package, noting he could only stomach it due to the positive impact it would have on the military.
"Nobody's more disappointed than me because the number's so large," he said of the price tag. "But we have to have by far the strongest military in the world."
"And that's why a lot of these pages are devoted to the military," Trump added of the spending package. "While we can be disappointed, we know there's a lot of strings pulling everybody in different directions."
WASHINGTON (CIRCA)- President Trump on Friday participated in a press conference on the omnibus spending bill.

However, the White House live stream states that Trump might be signing the bill during the news conference instead.
Trump tweeted earlier Friday that he might veto the bill as it did not address some of his immigration priorities.
I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.— Donald J.
