GREENE COUNTY, Ark. (KATV) — A man was booked into the Green County jail for allegedly sending meth in an envelope with his water bill.

The sheriff's department says James Hoey sent his water bill payment along with 7.1 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

According to our content partner, KAIT, the Western Greene County Water Department discovered the meth on Monday after an envelope was found in the after-hours drop deposit box.

They then notified authorities, who searched Hoey's home and found 38 more grams of crystal meth, 96 grams of marijuana, scales and other drug paraphernalia, KAIT reports.

Hoey was taken into custody for possession of crystal meth with the purpose to deliver and other drug charges.
