Police: Virginia man charged with rape of girl, 12, after meeting on Instagram app



PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (ABC7) — A 20-year-old man was arrested Monday after a missing 12-year-old girl was found inside his Woodbridge home, authorities said.

The Prince William County Police Department reports that Tyquan Stoney meet the 12-year-old on Instagram and was having an "inappropriate relationship" with her.

Police say on Monday, Stoney picked the girl up from her home in King George County and brought her to his house on Belvedere Drive. After being notified that the girl was at his home, police responded to the scene and say as officers approached the front door Stoney fled out a back door, but was quickly arrested.

Stoney has been charged with several offenses, including two charges of rape and "indecent liberties with a minor."
