Everyone poops, right? Not a controversial statement to be sure, and if you were to ask our guests, the Sklar Bros — podcasters, stand up comedians and and commentator extraordinaire — the concept of everyone pooping is a great uniter! All of us poop and all of us have that experience! This concept went into their upcoming documentary, Poop Talk, which includes the star power (and poop power) of Kumail Nanjiani, Eric Stonestreet, Aisha Tyler, Nicole Beyer and more. Here to discuss this absolute piece of art are our Circa Pop Live Hosts — Ryan Mitchell, and our special guest host, Meghan Tonjes.
The movie is pitched by the Sklar brothers as a deeply profound look as who we are as people — through this lens of something “we all do, but no one wants to talk about”. An example of this for example is the story of Brad WIlliams, a little person comedian who was using the handicapped stall, when someone came in, didn’t see his feet under the stall, and turned out the lights. The Sklars describe this story as something that encapsulates him as a comedian, as a little person, something that he would use to describe himself. The movie looks exciting, human and personal, and we cannot wait to see it.
