Kim Jong Un tells South Korean officials he is committed to ending nuclear missile tests


WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) - Republic of Korea National Security Advisor Chung Eui-Yong addressed the press outside of the White House Thursday night and announced that strides had been made in diplomatic discussions with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

North Korea has agreed to refrain from missile tests at this time.

Security Advisor Chung Eui-Yong said that Un was also eager to meet President Trump "as soon as possible."

After South Korean official's briefing with the president, Trump agreed to meet with Kim Jong Un by the end of May.

Eui-Yong said that the United States, South Korea and allied partners are committed to the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
