Rap superstar Rick Ross is currently in the hospital hooked up to a machine that has taken over the function of his heart and lungs, according to a report from TMZ.
Ross, who's real name is William Leonard Roberts, was hospitalized early Thursday morning when police and emergency teams were called after he was "found unresponsive" in his Florida home.
TMZ also reported, that he was transported to the hospital via ambulance and received respiratory treatment for a possible bout of pneumonia.
Ross has had a history of seizures in which he credited to a lack of sleep. He suffered two within six hours of each other in 2011, while midflight, which forced his private jet to make an emergency landings.
Rick Ross, is the CEO of the record label Maybach Music-- which is the home of rappers Meek Mill and Wale.
He also is the owner of several Wingstop franchises across the country.
In 2016, Ross started a scholarship program that would grant scholarships to youth in underprivileged communities and for Wingstop employees, according to BET.
Ross is being treated in the cardio unit at a Miami area hospital.
