MENIFEE COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) - A Kentucky teacher was booked into Montgomery County Jail after students reportedly witnessed her snorting pills in class, CBS affiliate WKYT in Lexington reports.
Cherish Rednour, 41, faces charges of public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a police report, two students say they watched the teacher crush a pill with a credit card, form it into a line, then snort the pill before slumping over on her desk.
The Menifee County School Superintendent Timothy Spencer school leaders contacted police after the students brought the incident to their attention.
The police report says investigators noticed Rednour's pupils were dilated and she failed a field sobriety test. They later found white residue on the desk and a tampon applicator that resembled a cut straw inside her bra.
Spencer says Rednour has been suspended pending further investigation.
