Have an instant pot? Check the bottom label - it could overheat



PORTLAND, Ore. — Instant Pots have become all the rage in the past few months, but if you have one, you may went to check out its batch code.

The Gem 65 8-in-1 Multicooker pots have been overheating at the bottom of the pot.

According to a post on the Instant Pot Community Facebook page, the affected pots have batch codes of 1728, 1730, 1731, 1734, and 1746. Check the underside of your instant pot to see if you're affected.

There's no recall yet, but the company says they expect to make announcement within the next few weeks.
