Family member of TLC’s ‘The Putmans’ facing gun charges after home raided by ATF



HURON COUNTY, Mich. --A member of a mid-Michigan family who stars in a reality television show is facing some serious charges and accusations.

Brandon Putman is the second oldest son in the TLC show, "Meet the Putmans."

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives raided the family's home in Pigeon Thursday afternoon.

Putman appeared before a federal magistrate Thursday afternoon also.

In the criminal complaint filed in US District Court in Bay City, Brandon Putman faces charges of possession of an unregistered firearm, illegal transfer of a firearm, and illegal possession of a machine gun.

According to court documents, Putman brought a part to an Elkton machinery shop and asked the owner if he could make 10 copies.
