Virginia farm faces backlash over roadside signs

CENTREVILLE, Va. (CIRCA) - Cox Farms in northern Virginia is taking a stand against injustice and some people are taking offense to it.

The farm posted the message below to its Facebook page along with a photo of its sign reading "RESIST WHITE SUPREMACY."

Last week, the farm put similar messages concerning inequality on the sign and says reaction has been mixed. Cox Farms even claims the messages have hurt business.

This isn't the first time Cox Farms has received complaints about its signs. In the past, people took offense to “We love our Muslim neighbors” and “Immigrants make America great!” signs.

Cox Farms writes, "The five of us are not just business-owners; we are human beings, members of the community, and concerned citizens of this country."
