Moo-ving violation: Cows cause hazard on California highway

FRESNO, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol responded to an interesting call Saturday morning on Highway 168 in between Shields and Ashlan.

Police say five cows fell out of a trailer after the latch wasn't secured properly.

Some good samaritans stopped to help the driver and police wrangle the cows and put them back in the trailer.

Police say one of the cows might have a broken leg but other than that they are all expected to recover.
