Don't look down: Runners scale 86 floors in the Empire State Building Run-Up


How long do you think it would take for you to run up the 86 flights of stairs at the Empire State Building?

Well, for over 40 years, thousands of people have challenged themselves to run the 1,576 stairs--in what some consider the ultimate test of endurance, the Empire State Building Run-Up.

While visitors can reach the building’s Observatory via elevator in under a minute, the fastest runners cover the 86 floors in about 10 minutes.
