OXON HILL, Md. (ABC7) — A boy is in critical but stable condition after he was shot Monday in the parking lot of a high school in Prince George's County, Md., police said.
The shooting happened at Oxon Hill High School. Officers responded to the shooting around 5:15 p.m.

According to police, the boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body after an argument led to a person in a car shooting him in the school's parking lot. The suspect then fled the scene following the shooting.
Police said the shooting does not appear to be random, and that investigators are on scene attempting to establish a suspect(s) and motive.
The victim was transported to an area hospital.

Tanger Outlet National Harbor and MGM National Harbor are a short distance away from the school, on the opposite side of Indian Head Highway.
