Donations help pay off mortgage on killed U.S. Marshal's home

Harrisburg, PA — The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation announced that they received $235,000 in donations to help pay off Deputy U.S. Marshal Christopher Hill's mortgage.

The foundation received donations from every state in the country, as well as donations from Canada.

Marshal Hill was killed on January 18th while serving an arrest warrant in Harrisburg, PA. Soon after, Tunnels to Towers started a campaign to raise money to support Hill's family. They initially pledged $100,000.

Now with the additional donations, the final total has reached $335,000.

According to the foundation, the campaign raised enough money to pay off the mortgage on Marshal Hill's home.

They also announced that any additional money raised beyond the amount necessary to pay the mortgage will go directly to the Hill family to support his widow and two young children.

There will be a ceremony to mark paying off the mortgage in the near future.
