GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — Grand Traverse County, Mich. deputies arrested a man who was reportedly naked in the lobby of an area hotel.
Around 1:50 a.m. Monday Grand Traverse 911 got a hang-up call from the Grand Traverse Resort and a deputy was sent out to investigate.
The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office said a 20-year-old Grawn man walked into the lobby of the resort naked and when deputies arrived he was lying on the ground in "altered consciousness."
While deputies called EMS, the man tried to leave saying he needed to go upstairs to "get my thoughts, they're in my jacket pocket."
When EMS checked the man, he started yelling and ran toward the door to the parking lot.
After telling the man to stop, a deputy fired his taser at the man but the probes missed him and he ran into the parking lot.
Eventually, the man laid down in the parking lot and deputies took him into custody.
He was taken to Munson Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
The man's girlfriend told deputies it started when he was in the shower and left the room.
The girlfriend also told deputies he "likes to take LSD," and has had similar episodes in the past.
A warrant was obtained for the man's blood and deputies are awaiting a toxicology report.
Paperwork has been submitted to the Grand Traverse County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction.
