A church in Pennsylvania put up a sign saying 'Blessed are those from the s***holes'

A church in Pennsylvania is turning heads and causing controversy with a marquee sign outside its doors.

The sign reads:

"Blessed are those from the S*!*HOLES"

The pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Dallastown told WPMT he is using the President's shocking statement to spread what he says is an important message.

"Whether it happened or not, the defense of if it had happened was really kind of appalling to me," Pastor Christopher Rodkey said. "It was really not so much to point a finger at the Presidency, but the way in which we are talking about this."

The phrase comes from comments allegedly made by President Trump during a closed-door immigration meeting calling Haiti, El Salvador and African nations "Shithole countries." The President has denied making these comments although multiple Congressmen who were in the room say he did.
