Feeling like you need to phone in a comment to the White House this morning? That's gonna be tricky.
If you do phone the White House comment line, you'll get a message instead of a person. Not surprising considering the government is shut down. What is surprising is what the message says. It thanks you for calling, and then gets a little strange.
"Unfortunately, we cannot answer your call today because Congressional Democrats are holding government funding, including funding for our troops, and other national security priorities hostage to an unrelated immigration debate. Due to this obstruction, the government is shut down," says the message.
The message is making its rounds on social media.

The message says (in part),"Due to Congressional Democrats shutting down the government and putting our troops at risk for an unrelated immigration issue, we cannot take your call at this time."
Imagine if @POTUS44 had done this.
