Dunkin' Donuts has teamed up with a brewery to release a coffee-inspired beer

Hi, welcome to Dunkin Donuts would you like to order donuts, coffee or beer?

Dunkin’ Donuts has teamed up with a Massachusetts brewery to create a Dunkin’ Donuts themed beer.

The Canton, Massachusetts based coffee and doughnut chain said Monday it has teamed up with Wormtown Brewery to launch a beer called 'DDark Roasted Brew.'

DDark Roasted Brew is made using the donut chain’s dark roasted coffee beans. Dunkin’ Donuts says the stout-style suds feature “full-roasted coffee flavor reminiscent of freshly ground beans with a creamy mouthfeel.”

The beer’s release is being timed to coincide exactly with the winter solstice at 11:28 a.m. Thursday Dec. 21. However if you want to give it a try you’ll have to visit the brewery in Worcester, Mass.

At the tapping there will also be “special donut and beer pairings created by the Dunkin’ Donuts Culinary Team” like the “Double Chocolate Cake Donut with DDark Roasted Brew.”

The two businesses say they’ll mark the launch of the beer by donating $11,500 to a local food bank.
