Jay-Z discusses making music with Beyoncé and how it felt like "therapy"

What do you do when you’re two superstar brilliant musicians and you’re having some marital troubles? Well, if you listen to the story of Jay-Z and Beyoncé, you could work together and use your art as therapy to work out some of the problems you have in your relationship. The problems here? Well, the fact that Jay-Z cheated on Beyoncé — a think Jay-Z also admitted to in a recent interview. Here to discuss it are our hosts Shira Lazar, Ryan Mitchell and Richelle Meiss of Circa Laughs.

The group finds this adorable and compare the two albums they produced: Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Jay-Z’s 4:44. Ryan breaks it down: Lemonade tells the story of the affair, the hurt and the eventual forgiveness that came from it, while 4:44 covers how stupid Jay-Z feels for having done this. Richelle points out however — she’s sort of tired of how they’re using their drama to get attention, and thinks it’s a little manufactured. Maybe so, but you can’t deny the quality of the music!
