Melania Trump is unveiling the White House Christmas decorations

First lady Melania Trump on Monday will unveil this year's White House Christmas decorations in a display whose theme reflects 200 years of the holiday tradition.

The White House's East Wing will pay tribute to military service members with a Gold Star Family Tree, which is bedecked in gold stars and patriotic ribbons.

The official White House Christmas tree will go in the Blue Room of the building's state floor, boasting glass ornaments displaying the seal of every state and territory.

The State Dining Room will hold a traditional gingerbread house, which will depict the White House's south facade and Trump's signature Christmas wreaths.

The China room will sport china from former President Ronald Reagan, and a table there will also be set up for a family Christmas dinner.

The White House library will display former President Franklin D. Roosevelt's 1866 edition of "A Christmas Carol," the beloved holiday novella by British author Charles Dickens.
