Lobster fries, because you wanted it


Fusion cuisines seem to be a popular and tasty trend continuing to expand in Southern California. The latest one we checked out was a mix of Vietnamese and Mexican foods found at Dos Chinos in Santa Ana, California.

Dos Chinos operated as a food truck for several years until opening up a store front in the 4th Street Market just outside of Los Angeles. They offer overstuffed "stoner" burritos and bowls that feature chimichurri infused asada and fried rice with roasted pork.

The signature item on the menu; however, is the Lobster Fries.

Co-owner Hop Phan says they sell out pretty quickly, and people from all over to come try them out. The lobsters are brought in weekly from local fisheries on the west coast, and they're prepared on the spot when an order is placed. Dos Chinos has done well for itself in the social media realm. Their Instagram account provides a healthy dose of hunger-inducing food porn, and it has over 54K followers.
