A Twitter user's offer to sell a Walmart vest for $100 so its buyer could skip Black Friday lines has gone viral, with more than 70,000 likes and 28,000 retweets as of midday Wednesday.
The tweet from @OverlyLiked -- whose Twitter bio features a picture of a man taking a selfie, and identifies him as a photographer and videographer from Georgia -- suggested the purchaser of the vest could "walk in, grab what you want, and walk out."
After receiving offers to buy the vest, @OverlyLiked said the tweet was "a joke," and that he didn't actually own a Walmart vest.
But several Twitter users who replied to @OverlyLiked's tweet apparently thought it was a good idea and offered their own vests for sale. It wasn't clear whether they were also joking.
