We tried the new 'Sorry' public apology app

0

When we heard there's a new social media app made just for apologies, we had to try it. (And so we did in the video above.)

Cooked up by former TV news anchor Greta Van Susteren, the video-based app is meant for "both lighthearted apologies ... and also for serious apologies," Susteren said in a Sorry post of her own. Of course, in our time spent browsing through the fresh platform, we found more of the former.

To show your contrition through Sorry, you simply download the app from the App Store or Google Play, make an account, then tap the plus (+) button to record your video message. Once finished, you can either post it to the app's public feed or just send a link to it through text or email to a particular person (or several). Viewers who watch a Sorry all the way through can rate whether it's GREAT, MEH or NOPE.

Sorry is still getting off the ground, so it's a little early to say whether the app will succeed in changing the way most people apologize – or even joke-apologize.
