We've all heard of Florida gators, but one Tallahassee couple was in for an amphibious surprise when they found a dead frog in their water glass at a local Waffle House.
Claire Sheats disclosed the encounter to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) on Nov. 5. USA Today reported. Sheats said, "We were served a whole frog in our ice water at Waffle House today."
"The waitress brought our drink over and my husband sipped on it before noticing the frog floating in the glass. We brought it to the attention of the employees and manager, then promptly left the restaurant," she continued.
DBPR inspected the restaurant on Nov. 9 and issued 13 warnings; three were high priority. By the time the inspector returned that Thursday, the restaurant complied with nine of the warnings, including those that were high priority. It received a time extension on the other four.
