Jesus, Take the Handrail!
Two days after hosting the CMA Awards, Carrie Underwood fell and broke her wrist, ABC News reports.
"On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall on some steps outside her home," her rep said in a statement given to ABC News. "While there were no life-threatening injuries, she was taken to the hospital to be treated. She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall."
Her husband, retired NHL hockey star Mike Fisher, traveled to Nashville to be by her side.
"Her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes," the statement concluded.
Underwood took to Twitter to thank her fans for the well wishes.
Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody...I’ll be alright...might just take some time...glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me.— Carrie Underwood (@carrieunderwood) November 12, 2017
Due to her injuries, Underwood will miss a benefit concert Sunday in Nashville for victims of the Oct. 1 Las Vegas shooting and hurricanes in Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
