What makes a relationship real in this new digital age? Well, some may argue that a couple isn't together until they are 'Facebook official.' That's when the relationship status is changed to 'in a relationship' and it's accompanied by a photo of the two people. A social media presence seems to be a big part of the dating scene and it sparked a new term, "stashing."
Stashing refers to when the person you are seeing doesn't post you on social media or introduce you to friends and family. Business Insider says that kind of behavior can lead to your partner believing you are cheating. It can also give the impression that your significant other is ashamed to be with you.

Stashing may not necessarily be a negative thing. Some people like to keep their personal lives private and the lack of their partner's presence may just be an ode to that.
