The sports fans in the city of Houston are going through a roller coaster of emotions right now.
A day after the Houston Astros became World Series Champs, Deshuan Watson, rookie quarterback for the Houston Texans gets injured.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the star rookie quarterback suffered a non-contact injury and tore his ACL in practice Wednesday.
NFL.com is reporting that an MRI was performed on Watson and confirmed the full extent of the injury
On Sunday Watson had the most impressive game of his career. He passed for 402 yards and four touchdowns in the Texans’ 41-38 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
That performance helped him become the AFC Offensive Player of the Month (the first rookie quarterback to ever win those honors.) He also was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month for October.
Watson passed for 1,699 yards over six games and is tied for the NFL lead in passing touchdowns with 19.
