Trump and the first lady hosted a Halloween event at the White House

WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) — President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania celebrate Halloween at the White House Monday.

The South Lawn is open to schoolchildren and parents from over 20 local schools, military families, and community organizations.

The Trumps will hand out cookies created by the White House Pastry Kitchen as well as Presidential M&M's and other candies, while decorations include pumpkins with profiles of former presidents.

U.S. Secret Service, NASA, Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Park Service, Department of Education, and other departments and agencies are also expected to participate in the festivities.
