Dash cam captured the moment when a deputy crashed his car into his ex-wife's home


Video of an Escambia County Sheriff's deputy intentionally crashing his patrol car into his ex-wife's Milton home in November 2016 has been released.

The Florida State Attorney's Office released the dash cam video this week.

Deputy Timothy Taylor can be seen steering the cruiser to face the home on Merrill Drive before accelerating and slamming into the front of the house.

Taylor admitted to Milton police he was under the influence of prescription drugs at the time and tried to commit suicide because of marital problems.

Taylor plead no contest to DUI and criminal mischief charges and was sentenced to two years probation.
