NBA star Klay Thompson plans to donate money to Northern California wildfire victims



Golden State Warriors forward Klay Thompson is a scoring machine and he hopes to use his three-point prowess to help Bay area wildfire victims.

In a video posted to his Twitter account, Thompson pledges to donate $1000 per each point he scores in the next three home games to the North Bay fire relief.

The wildfires in Northern California have destroyed over 7000 homes and businesses and wreaked an estimated $1B in damages. The North Bay fires are considered one of the most destructive wildfires in California history.

As one half of the ‘Splash Brothers’ and one of the NBA’s elite three-point shooters who knows how much money Thompson will be able to raise.

The proceeds of his pledge will benefit the Redwood Credit Union Community Fund. So far $66,000 has been raised.
