Beer is considered one of the most popular beverages after water and tea, but what if you were to find that cannabis had been infused with it?
Coalition Brewing Company in Portland, Oregon opened in 2010 and has since been developing innovative beers which showcase a unique harmony of aromatics and taste.
The company eventually created cannabis-infused beer, a CBD-infused IPA called "Two Flowers."
And for those of you who don't know, CBD or cannabidol is a non-psychoactive that is believed to help process alcohol more adequately.
Phil Boyle, Coalition's ambassador, said that "Two Flowers won't get you high, won't show up in a drug test or won't make you feel weird."
"Hops and cannabis are kissing cousins and so where we wanted to tap was to augment and showcase those taste profiles from both plants in a synergistic delicious beer."
Coalition teamed up with Half Baked Labs to create "Two Flowers," which has gotten quite a buzz since it was released at Portland's inaugural 'Weed Week' in December 2016.
When asked about how you feel after a few of these beers, Boyle said that his friend explained it best.
"My friend said you know you have like a couple beers? Well imagine having those same two beers in a hot tub, you just feel good."
The seven-year-old company prides themselves on using the best and freshest ingredients from the the Pacific Northwest.
The company has another CBD beer in the works, a double chocolate CBD stout currently nicknamed "Special Brownies."
As for the unique names, Boyle explained that some of the best names come instantly and others require some more time.
"The Portland community has always been supportive," he said. "Coalition wouldn’t be anywhere without the support of the community.
"The response has been phenomenal to our CBD beers and we are upholding our motto, 'community through beer,' by giving back as much as possible."
