ISIS vowed to attack the next World Cup

The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is threatening to attack the next World Cup soccer tournament, according to The Mirror.

The Mirror on Tuesday reported that ISIS is flooding social media platforms with an image menacing the 2018 Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) event in Russia.

The image depicts a bomb bearing ISIS’s notorious black flag alongside a jihadi carrying a rifle in front of the Volgograd Arena in southern Russia.

The 2018 World Cup will be played across 11 cities in Russia from June 14 to July 15 of next year.

ISIS last week released a propaganda image featuring photos of President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin riddled with bullets.

The image also claimed that ISIS would overcome its enemies like Russia and the U.S. on the battlefield.

“Lie in wait for them at every chance to ambush,” the picture said. “The Levant is the graveyard of the Russians and Americans.”

ISIS has threatened Russia after Moscow began conducting air strikes against the terrorist group in Syria.
