Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward broke his left ankle during the 1st quarter of the opening night match-up between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, according to the Associated Press.
Hayward went up for an alley-oop pass and collided with LeBron James. His leg got twisted underneath him as came down to the floor.
Hayward collapsed under the basket and looked in horror as his left foot was pointing outward.
As Hayward was being wheeled off the court by the medical staff, players from both teams came over to Hayward to show him love.
Cleveland’s crowd gave Hayward a standing ovation as he left.
